Revisiting ruins in [Wandering In The Dark]
When playing through the cavern ruins for the long quest [Wandering In The Dark] , I came across seemingly collapsed rocks with witcher senses that I cannot remove with aard or igni. The "wall" was given a sun-like icon.

Since I could not do anything about it I proceed to follow Keira throughout the ruins until we reach the final library hideout where boss Nithral is confronted. In that immediate hall area there's another similar "sun" wall behind, not the wall that's directly at the library. Keira talks about using The Eye of Nehaleni to disepl the illusionary wall, but before I did that I ran back to the hall to dispel the other wall to get extra loot. By then I had overloaded myself, so I chose to walk out (slowly) the main illusion wall with Keira, instead of backtracking to the first illusion wall encountered earlier.

Now that I return (with larger saddle bags too) to the place, I am having a difficult time trying to pinpoint the location of the first illusion wall; during the quest multiple portals were used to traverse the ruins, and I cannot get back to those areas, neither from the original entrance, nor the exit opening near the shoreline. From the entrance I hit dead ends where the portals were, since they're no longer active. From the latter library hall I cannot find an angle to jump back up to the level which we dropped off from to face Nithral.

Is there any way to re-explore the entire ruins?

It is an open world game. You can revisit most of the places, few are exceptions. The place you mentioned can be revisited & there is also a place of power. You have to go through same cave. Those portals just used to shorten the distance & basically you are in same area. If you still can not visit then watch youtube videos.

I'm not sure it's possible. Have you considered reloading a save from before you started the quest? And this time either unburdening yourself or finding larger saddlebags for Roach beforehand?
That quest chain was really long (all the way to Fyke Island); took me the whole of yesterday of finally send Keira packing her bags. And it seems the auto-save and checkpoint save system seems to purge older saves? This is probably a reactionary counter to the complaints of the past two games' unscalable design with handling too many save files, but it also means a lot of earlier incremental progress are lost.

But anyway, by the time Keira hands over the The Eye of Nehaleni, the party is already at the library/hall so I still wouldn't know how to climb back up there.

I hope you talked her out of her plan to try and bargain with Radovid and convinced her to go to Kaer Morhen instead.
I've read about her "future" before. But even then I've played Witcher 2 and seen Radovid's attitude towards mages.

However on first conversation attempt, I ended up teaching her not to try fighting a witcher....

Thankfully I've already absorbed the place of power in there. Thing is the portals bring us into passages that don't appear to have any through way to the end.

Plenty of videos I've seen are about the (fast track) quest per se and not exploration. I'm gonna have to dig deeper...
