Best skill tree?
Hi. I just recently started new game plus, because I want to play this game properly on difficulty 3. I played difficulty 2 last, but it was too easy to do. I just bought a clearance potion from my girl Keira (bloody expensive lol) and I am wondering how to set my skill tree. Since I was stupid the first time i played this i only set them in random places that sounded cool. What I want is the main focus on melee and signs, and the necesarry on alchemy. Can someone explain?

So, you found the game too easy last time but now you want to use skills that are best as most overpowered?

The game allows several different builds, they are all playable. I am not sure there even is one "best" skill tree as it depends what you personally prefer.

I played through highest difficulty with melee skill tree, mostly fast attack. Couple points on Delusion for extra dialogue options, Gourmet from general skills and nothing in Alchemy. It worked well for me.

i only placed skills randomly last time, it worked cuz i had story and sword, but I have had problems with blood and bones until Keira, i only used random armor and stuff as well.

put nearly everything in hexes, like the fire and so on its ez to stagger a horde of enemies on highest difficulty

Im on Death March (which isn't that hard for anyone curious. I suck so trust me its not). I mainly went swords the last two playthroughs but I am seeing that Alchemy is a strong build as well. I may try it next.

For my death march difficulty new game + i did a heavy armor strong attack build with improved flame sign(sorry been awhile since i played witcher 3) and the shield sign. Also you will want to get to the skill in the alchemy tree to make it to where when you drink any potion it gives you 25% health immediately. You will want that for hardest difficulty new game+ for sure. its a life saver. Also bombs are a big help on higher difficulties so deff work with them

I am also on Death March in NewGame+ currently and the common 'Fast Attack + Igni + Quen' still works great.

Igni is impressive at times. Your enemies can't move while they are burning and if your stamina restores fast enough you can literally burn them down, without moving at all.
