combat is always stale in witcher games. witcher games is all about the story and not the combat. witcher is all about the characters. not the game for you if you are there for just the combat.
People have no idea how to roll properly either or use the alt-dodge. So I guess they don't understand what timing is
They are a good indicator of the general opinion towards this game. Combine this with the reivews from both gamers and critics on other sites sites, GoTY awards, video comments, whatever you want. This game is/was/will be praised all around this industry. Stop being so delusional and accept the truth
The game is on GOG which won't show on Steam that or he pirated the game which he would have no right to complain about if he did that.
HAhahahah what do you know, I found him. His name is ydraig. hahahaha we both just burst out laughing when I showed him. I just had to comment to tell this story because it was hilarious.
Dude, you are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane lol. "people are waking up" he says... haha one person makes a thread.
Smh.
I´m sorry, ydraig... but... in what world do you live in?
Were you being sarcastic or did you actually meant what you wrote there? If there is anyone in this forum forcing his opinion on others, it is you. You´ve been doing that for how long? A year and a half, maybe?
Also, very entertaining to see you saying that it is "nice to see people finally waking the f up" after how many "game is overated" threads after a year and a half? 10 or 20 if I´m being generous... but then "Haha, Steam Reviews are not in any way representative of the entire population of gamers. Don't be daft."
So which is it? The world you live in, that is.
The one where only what you say is factual truth and not an opinion forced upon others, or the one where only what others say is a biased blind "view" forced upon everyone else?
Quen - strike - roll. W3 is by far the most easiest RPG I have ever played. They might as well not put anything else in as its derivitive. The Last Remnant has by far more complex combat system.
Its the same as Tyranny - great story, abysmal combat system and lots of useless gameplay options. I could quote a brilliant review from Zero Punction - like the housewife said to the randy stallion, its possible to put too much in.
The only useful potion is healing. the only sign you need is quen, besides occasional Yrden. Id understand if every sign was crucial in a fight - down a griffon with aard, stop a fiend with axii only, burn away Wild Hunt dog aura with igni; but no, CDPR decided to go streamlined and dumbed the game down.
They did make it flashy so the kids are gasping in awe at how wonderful the finisher animations are or how Geralts smile move better than his abs.
DONT CARE FOR THAT ♥♥♥♥! Give me decent gameplay! If I want to look at beautiful animations I talk to resl people and visit the countryide to see mesmerizing vistas. You can put a lot of make-up on someone, but if its dull you can have the ocassional shag before you move to a more substantial and better things.
What game has ever been released that didn't have flaws or something that could've been done better?
If you could mash together the great parts of several games, you'd probably have a master piece. Probably, because then someone would still find something wrong with it. Why? Because its art, in one form or other, it all comes down to art and our subjective opinion of it. I thought Witcher 3 would blow me away. It didn't. That doesn't make it a bad game. Doesn't make it a great game neither. But then what would i know. I am just a player like you.
And, to be honest, i like the negative criticisms. Its good to have players rant and rave about it, yeah some of them are childish (not implying original poster is childish so please don't take offense), but its a damn sight better than the old days of picking up magazines just for a review of a game you were looking forward to.
Heck, stuff the reviews. No way to know whether you'll like something unless you try it for yourself. And don't give too much heed to user reviews, cos chances are, you might still like it when most of them are negative, and then again, you might just hate it when most of them are positive.
I bought it, tried it, ain't the GREATEST game in the world, but then who said it was? The subjective opinion of others did. CD Project Red didn't make that claim. They never advertised it as such. So let everyone be entitled to their opinions, no matter how shallow, well rounded, or childish.
Happy monster slaying. I am off to apply that whetstone and bag me some more trophies, if i can get the damn HDMI cable to work lol
