Why so many baths?
I recently bought and started playing this game. However, I'm confused by how much time Geralt spends in a bath and/or walking around the bathtub he just climbed out of. The intro cutscene begins with him in a bath, as does the start of the second act. Is this a trend with this game? Is there some deep connection between witching abilities and taking baths? Will Geralt encounter finer and finer tubs as the game progresses, or perhaps even a steam-powered dwarven shower as the game ends?

Please excuse any typos as I'm writing this on my phone in a bath.

Monsters and wild dogs and some people smell terrible and Geralt comments on this many times throughout the game. If you've ever worked in a fish shop or picked up trash or delivered food for an Indian restaurant you would understand that it sticks with you for hours if not days after.

You bath twice in a 50-200 hour long game. I would say that makes Geralt a stinky bastard. Especially considering that the game spans over a long time in-game...

Twice. I'd say you're just triggered is all.

Well damn, I thought the bath theme would continue into endgame. It's kind of sad that I encountered all of the baths in the game already, maybe I should just stop playing if there's no chance of bath advancement.

You'd think Geralt would have learned the benefits of bathing, or at least providing bathing facilities for his companions to hijack

I think you might be the only one who's ever noticed.

How has no one else noticed the bath-focus of the first two cutscenes? This is a seriously big deal in the game.

I bathe all the time. In the sea and the lakes.

We notice it. We just don't think it's as big a deal as you seem to.
