Cheers for the help guys
I found all the clues, followed all the tracks and came to a screeching halt. I could find no more tracks or clues. Then I backtracked to where I started that portion of the quest and found one spot; it was either a bloodstain or claw marks, I don't remember. I had seen it before, but I didn't angle myself properly, so I never got the 'examine' cue, so I originally bypassed it. Once I had found it again and postioned myself properly, I was able to examine it and trigger the next stage of the quest. Is it possible that something similar is happening to you?
One of the few complaints I have with this game. Sometimes if you don't position yourself just right you can't interact with things. There does seem to be a few things that are just impossible to get to. Mostly containers under boats or piers.
