Fall damage in the game is a total f*cking joke
why do so many games kil you after a 5-10 ft fall. was withcer 3 programmed by people with huge obesity problems? geralt must be well over 60st to crunch up like that or did his mutations turn his legs to glass?

Use spacebar as a hint in the loading screen teaches - and you won't get killed by an awkward fall.

up to 70 ft fall you should still have a good chance of living in real life

rollling out of falls doesnt work in tw3 if you vaulted (and not jumped or walked). such as across balcony and other rails. super annoying indeed because even if you manage to roll you take fatal dmg when roll's over :/

If you can't be bothered to remember that, there's a mod.
Yeah no that doesn't work. I've held down the jump button to roll and sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Most of the time if I hold the jump button geralt does nothing and just dies.

Other times, the idiots who programmed this game didn't know what stop/start means. In one of the Witcher armor quests I tried jumping across a broken bridge that had a wall on the other side of it. I held onto the jump button for one second too long and geralt decided to climb the wall which has nothing behind it and fell to his death.

The game is riddled with bug and you have to play it their "special" way because the controls are abyssmal.

The tips also say to hold on the jump button to grab onto ledges but even that only works half the time depending on how early you let go of the jump button. I've had geralt hold on for .1 second and let go immediately and I fell to my death.

maybe you should learn how to press a button and do a roll so you won't take damage... just a suggestion

Maybe the Witcher universe has abnormally high gravity.
