Geralt talks like a Sissy Batman
I know they wanted to try and make him sound cold blooded and emotionless but I cant hear him talk. Good thing for subtitles.

Set on polish language and than use subtitles. If you can't stand his voice that solves all your problems. Example:

Doug Cockle did a fantastic job on voicing Geralt. His voice is so iconic to the character that Henry Cavill even used it as inspiration for his own voice in the Netflix series.

I really like the dry monotone voice. Works great for all those sarcastic lines Geralt has.

Geralt is like that in the books too. He has a very deadpan sense of humor, its awesome.

What would you prefer for his voice, Shoresy from Letterkenny?

Doug Cockle is the voice of the Witcher now no doubt about that. But I have to agree that the deep raspy voice is overdone sometimes but worse the audio quality jumps up and down of the recording..Also lore wise the voice makes no sense he was supposed to imitate a Rivian accent to blend in better. Can you just imagine everyone talking like that in Rivia? well we can't because in Blood And Wine you meet people from Rivia.

Now believe me I am glad they did not went with it for in the game as its like the original actors voice of Darth Vader suddenly becoming the defacto voice.

But the Polish version plays a-lot more with emotion in the voice of Geralt especially when it involves parts about finding Ciri or when he is starting to loose his patience where it looks like he forgets his act of hiding emotions sometimes. It is far more subtle.

If I could choose a different voice actor for the English part though I would say Mads Mikkelsen would be a great second choice. But than again I would also would love to see Jack Nicholson as Gauntr O Dimm just to hear him say "You ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight" We can't have it all.
