Yennifer in the Show is UGLY compared to the game
I like the cast for the most part. I could list more complaints about the show but the main one that sticks with me is that Yennifer starts out with a deformity. After she transformed to supposed beauty I felt ripped off. She looks nothing like the character from the game. She looks like a man trying to be a woman with that crimson chin.

So I guess what I'm saying is props on making an animation look better than an actual person.

that's how it is in the books, the show goes off the books not the game, and she had that deformity in the books, you should read them.

You'd think a little research would be done before making posts like this (and perhaps a look in the mirror too...)

Wait until you see Fringilla

I think the casting for the series was perfectly fine, but then beauty is entirely subjective anyway. Like the guy from Platoon said: "Opinions like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Taylor, everybody got one."

the show is intended for teenagers not witcher 3 players, show sucked

What are you on about? Most people are aware the Sorceresses changed their appearance. Comparing game Yen looks to the actress in the series is a fair point. She isn't the Yen people wanted, did you read the backlash when the cast were announced?

Of course, and with a little research people would realize it was Base On The Books, and that Yen initially was a hunchback (story expanded by Netflix).

In the beginning of witcher 3 production Yennefer was uglier. CD PROJEKT changed her appearance so people would go diffrent path than Triss.
Just take a look at 2014 trailer 1:40 mark

Either you or I missed the point to op :D. I took the post as the beautiful Netflix Yen doesn't stack up to game Yen rather than what occurred before the transition.

I took it as he thought Yen was NOT originally a hunchback and Netflix made her so by choice, and that the characters were off a little or more because they didn't look like those in game.

That is all.

(edit) PS: And Ugly from the headline. Hence the look in the mirror bit.

Oh no, sad your video game wife doesn't look the same when played by ACTUAL people? Weird how that works. Yen is a bombshell in the series and in the game. I'd say beauty is in the eye of the beholder but in this case, you're baiting, and plain stupid.

All these mongrels thinking that the series were based off the game LULW.

Indeed. I know beauty is subjective, but I still can't quite imagine thinking she's ugly, and she really does not look like "a man trying to be a woman".

The characters are supposedly more like they are in the books, Triss Merigold looks more like she would've in the books in the show than she did in the series. The paleness of Yennefer in the game isn't accurate neither, only the richest of the rich were able to remain pale, the rest would get at least a little bit of a tan through being outside for most of the day, often working in the fields and stuff

I don't care. It hurts me more that show is very far from books.
Maaaaany hings are changed, simplified, cut out, I feel like each episode tries to push story ahead. I feel that creaters of the show felt in need of adding Ciri very early on just because she were in Witcher 3 game. In first two books she were "shown" 2 times. It were 3rd book "Blood of elves" where she were showing up much.

Overally however mine mother who didnt readed books likes it so I guess it is good.

The paleness has also to do with being quarter elf.
Regarding the look of Yennefer the Netflix serie is not far off where it not they completely screwed up with Fringilla who is supposed to remind Geralt of Yenneffer regarding the looks. Even going so far as calling Fringilla Yennefer during sex.

Apart of that the entire part regarding the infertility due to becoming a mage makes no sense lorewise and the part where Yennefer hates the mages for taking her choice neither as she willingly did it even in the series.
