Honestly it's not worth picking up every dropped weapon to sell, the return isn't worth the effort. Concentrate on selling gold (magic) & brown (unique) weapons to get the most gold. Selling unwanted rune stones and sign upgrades is also well worth the effort. You can also sell unused crafting components, especially the higher rarity ones, for decent coin though be careful with this as you'll need most of them for the top tier potions, oils etc.

With that many items that you have a weight of 2269 I expect that are using a mod to collect items like Autoloot AIO or something like that? Anyway it is possible to use Roach to move around even fully loaded and get to nearest Waypoint to travel to a city. Here you often find merchants that will accept a higher price for your items (weapon for blacksmith, armour to armourer, stack of food or drinks that you have more then enough of that you can sell etc).

Don't forget that game offer a Stash system (chest symbol on map) where you can store important items for later.

In game you also have a sort feature where you can order things after price or weight.

When you use any mods that Autoloot, it is possible that you will loot everything in range and in cities that is really fast way to get encumbered. Bind a key so you can disable Autolooting in city at least.

I have played for sometime now and encumbrance is possible to get around with some strategies like sell unwanted items (even if they a white and worth use a few pennies). Remember that for most part you will do Scavanger hunt to get diagrams thYOuat make it possible to craft your own armour and weapon that is en general better then what find for that level you can equip it. You can equip those crafted weapon and armour at level 11, so you have access to use these instead of what you find that is better then magic items (blue).

There is also console commands you can use if you look up that give you control for how much encumbrance in game you will have, but it is possible to get around without giving yourself unlimited or up to 9000 limit (from mod).

You should also rather earlier be able to find better Saddlebags to increase your weight limit. I found this before I got to level 6: https://witcher.fandom.com/wiki/Nilfgaardian_saddlebags

Remember that you can drop items from inventory and later come back if it is necessary (use minimap to find small circle with a black cross for dropped items - you should see it with Witcher senses). The in game travel system also make it fast to get from one point to another when you combine it witchers own sprint (there is a key bind where press it while running it will let you sprint without the need to hold down two keys at the same time).

In short learn how to play around those limitation and you will not feel that encumbrance as long you don't loot large groups of killed corpses with Autoloot or forget to turn it off in places with a lot of containers that might be placed in vertical position like in buildings in cities.

Meditating replenishes the amount of gold merchants have. And it stacks.

In other words if a merchant has lets say 800 gold obviously not enough to buy everything you may want to sell. You can meditate 3 or 4 days and more gold will be added to the total amount of gold they have.

The more days you meditate the more gold they have.

IN other words. A good way to be able to sell alot of stuff without running around to every single merchant selling 1 or 2 things at a time.

Is simply meditating until they do have enough gold to buy all your stuff.

The highest mount i have gotten a merchant to have is 15k. Which was more then enough for the merchant to have enough to buy all my stuff.

I'll try this out. As for mods in my first playthrough, I didn't use any. Also, I'm not sure how my inventory was so full. I didn't know if there were ways to increase the limit...

You play in NG+ mode? It could be that New Game plus is using your last save and that is why have so many items? From what I know you can only play NG+ after you played one play through, so it is not completely true that this is your first play through in that case.

There could some bugs as NG+ was added later to game and most focus have been on the other game modes.

Here is wiki about NG+: https://witcher.fandom.com/wiki/New_Game_%2B

Be careful to use mods as some mods warns that they might not work correctly when set in NG+ mode.

W3EE doesn't support NG+. That might be your problem.

(what would be the point, there are no levels at all with W3EE)
