Edit: Also Nvidia Freestyle will let you use/make filters that will change contrast, gamma, etc. Only catch is you have to be an Nvidia user.
There you see the Wolf image on a dark field. Place cursor on the bar at the bottom of it and drag as you watch the change to increase brightness. I hope that helps!

Are you playing on PC with a display attached or console?
If on PC on what Windows version are you?
What display do you use and what kind of cable runs between the hardware?
