Through Time and Space Ge'els CTD

I have an official Steam GOTY copy of The Witcher 3.
Every time I get to Ge'els Dialogue of "Talked Enough, let's go." or "This way please." my game hard crashes instantly.
I tried verifying my Steam files and reinstalling my game completely.
I've used some mods in the past.. is my save corrupt?
This is so odd and I don't want to start all over.
Can anyone help?

I have tested out the same dialogue on a separate save that I downloaded from the Nexus and I'm still crashing, so it's not my save. I'm stumped.

have you tried loading an earlier save from before you started the quest and doing the quest again?

I downloaded a separate save from a different playthrough and still crashed at the same spot, so it's not tied down to just my save. I've tried loading earlier saves and I'm having no luck. There seems to be something badly wrong with my game, even unmodded..

I tried another save that hasn't been used since update 1.06, still crash at the same spot. Any suggestions?

if still persists after game file verification i wonder whether it's gpu drivers.

I just spent, I don't know how many hours playing through this game.
Why would a dialogue option make my game crash on 3 different saves, even after reinstalling the game without mods?
The 1.06 save was also unmodded.
It seems like my game is corrupt.
I had no crashes before this and can play up to this point just fine.. I can't finish the game without completing this quest.

Damn shame, the "why" is a major quest in itself, like did something get deleted, or did it get modified ? Is it internal or outside the game ? I wonder if Steam support could help ? I know Windows 10 updates, Geforce experience, , changing options and of course, Nexus can make your computer act erratic and out of sync.

Well here's the crazy thing.
I installed a secondary version of The WItcher 3 from GOG.. and I was able to get past the dialogue..
So it turns out my copy of The WItcher 3 is bugged!
I couldn't believe it..
I've had my copy of The Witcher 3 on steam since 2015..
I started talking to someone from a Witcher discord who spent hours last night troubleshooting the issue.
He has fixed over 100 crash issues for people.. but last night he was stumped by mine.
Thank you everyone for your help, I'm the glad I could narrow down the issue no matter how messed up it is that my copy is bugged.

Hey sorry to revive a dead topic but I may have an answer for you or anyone else that comes across this thread. Disable Fake Lights in All Quests [www.nexusmods.com] mod is not installed through a mod manager but manually. Removing it allowed me to continue the game. Miisti over at Nexus Forums figured this out.

This was it. Mod seems to be causing a lot of issues for others on this exact quest. Thank you for your post. Worked all morning on this. Yours was the fix.

I'm having the same problem and I have no mods on this game. I verified the program, found one file missing, but even after fixing that, it crashed at the same spot again. Anyone find a solution? This seems like a major problem bc I've seen it listed many places.
