Will "The witcher 3" spoil the books too much?
Hello guys, I'm currently reading the 4th book... And I'm really looking forward to play the game. But I'm afraid the game could spoil too much for me If I play it before finishing the reading.
Can anyone who has read the books and played the game tell me if I should wait to finish the books before playing?

Btw, I have not played the first game... For the 2nd, I played like half of it. But I don't intend to play any of those anyway.

Thanks!

Well historical facts will pretty much be spoiled - like wars, politics etc. Something about Nilfgaard and Ciri as well. But that's the only thing I can think of :)

You can safely read all of the books without spoiling anything from the games because they aren't part of them. They pick up where the story left off in The Lady of the Lake and go off on their own tangent.

I'm aware of that, but that's why I'm worried the other way around.... I don't want to play the game, and while reading the lore somewhere or listening to a conversation getting spoiled about something relevant from the books.

So far Ciri seems like the most insteresting thing in the saga, so, it's enough for me to wait, I should not be so impatient and have a relaxed reading, I'll be probably done with the books in a couple of months so it's not a big deal.

I'll just consider wether buying it now or not, to keep it already in the library since I don't know when the next sale will be.

Thanks, guys!
By the way, I highly recommend playing the Witcher 2. Graphics and story are good and IMO better combat as well. W2 is a very SHORT game even if you plan on exploring everything and doing side quests. Furthemore you will get general idea what's currently happening in the Witcher 3.
