They are ethereal and ignorre and or have huge damage reduction until pinned to material form via Yrden or Moon Dust. Once they pass into either effect field, start attacking.

If you are out of Moon Dust and can't cast Yrden (no adrenaline points with Adrenaline Burst, or no Stamina, or standing in dimeritium cloud without In Combat's Fires), then wait for them to attack, dodge to flank, preferably backstab for more damage. They will be pinned to materaial form only while attacking.

I see the boss i fought kept dividing herself into 3 noonwraiths, probably why i had difficulty pinning her down.

so i assume you just attack when they are within the circle!
thanks!

For the most part, correct. However, you should see a blue glow on them from Yrden, or possibly sparkles from Moon Dust. The latter is easier to see on Bruxae/Alps, even their corpses. Basically there is a timer for the effects. So, even if wolves or something pass through Yrden, for a short period of time, the slow effect will stick to them.

And: When you see special wraith variants dong unique things, like dividing, get away or shut down their abilites. If they do weird barfing animations, they are leaching health and recovering the parent wraith.
