2) free tree spirit before talking the first time to the crones -> children, Anna, Baron save, villager dies
3) free tree spirit after talking the first time to the crones -> children save but Anna, Baron dies, villager dies
Im eager to see both of them alive this time.
Thnx Refas for giving more info
perrrhaps nottt frnd!!!
if u see video released by CD Projekt Red celebrating 10th anniversary of Witcher series, u can see in the video that Baron is alive, who can also be dead according to ur choices another one is Keira Metz she is in the video her death is also optional means she is alive.
Only Vesemir was missing, coz he is dead in the game and his death isnt optional so it means presence and absence in the video is the true fate of characters.
So Baron needs to live according to it.
You cannot tell a story that spans 3 games without it's own canon. The intent of the author(s) is a part of the story whether Brad from New Jersey likes it or not.
Its not the case with CD Projekt Red.
It amuses me that you portray this as though there is some high court sitting in arbitration regarding what is canon and what isn't. I picture some guy in a judges wig with a waifu body pillow of Triss and an oversized cartoon gavel.
For what it's worth though Sapkowski seems to agree. I remember with him saying something to the effect of. "I think CDPR did a wonderful job, but that's not my Geralt".
After all is the author right to say what he considers part of his stories and what not...but since you can enjoy the stories whether they are canon or not, fanfic or original author's work. Who gives a damn about it?
Well said.
Option 2 is clearly better morally.
