cant install free DLC
hi, i got the game from my brother from Family Share, and i wanted to load my old saves but i cant, because i dont have the free dlcs installed. So i went to the store and tried installing those DLCs, but i only managed to get half of them. for some reason, they just wouldn't add to my library, which pisses me off because i literally cant do anything about it but to turn to steam and CDPR support. i contacted them, got no response, so while i wait i just thought maybe some of you encountered the same issue and have any solutions. i tried deleting DLC folder and reinstalling them again, didnt work whatsoever. i have both paid DLCs bought, those are the ones that won't add to my steam library:
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Alternative Look for Triss
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - New Quest: 'Scavenger Hunt: Wolf School Gear'
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - 'Ballad Heroes' Neutral Gwent Card Set
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - New Quest 'Fool's Gold'
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Elite Crossbow Set
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - New Quest 'Contract: Missing Miners'
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Nilfgaardian Armor Set
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Alternative Look for Yennefer
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Beard and Hairstyle Set
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Temerian Armor Set

Look in your DLC folder in your game directory. There should only be 18 folders there labeled as follows: DLC1 to DLC16, ep1 and bob. If you have anything else labeled in any other manner, delete them. This is what is preventing your DLCs from installing or being recognized by the game.
i found only folders called DLC 9,11,12,14,15,16. no ep1 or bob. also in the dlc section on steam i dont see the dlcs i dont have installed, because i cant even add them to my library from the store. i just get a popup "oops, something went wrong, now f*ck off we wont help you."

If you have the game on family share from you brother, check that he has all the free DLC installed. If he doesn't have it get him to install it as you may only be able to install what he has.

The free DLCs are not that much of a curiosity as is the fact that you don't seem to have the two folders for the paid expansions which he does have installed. That's really weird.
now i do, reinstalled all dlcs https://gyazo.com/7a17ed71dd4f1f602b99e413da2d5933

god man you really had to resurrect this thread, anyways i found the solution for this myself, you just have to login with your brothers account onto the computer and download all the dlcs from his account, then you can safely switch back to your account and they will work. Atleast I think thats how i done it half a year ago, good luck
