A Matter of Life and Death missable cards
I recently learned that there are certain Gwent cards that you can potentially miss forever. A few of these were in the quest where you take Triss to a party at an aristocrat's estate. I finished the quest without finding them and I have no backup saves at a point before this happened.

I'm a completionist and I planned to get 100% achievements. Is there any way to rectify this mistake after the fact or am I screwed? I don't want to restart my file since I am already 30+ hours deep into the game on death march with really good potions and gear.

Any help is appreciated.

And by the way, for you to be 30 hours and already in Novigrad, you must be rushing through the game like crazy. What's your hurry? That doesn't sound much like a completionist to me.

If you say there's no way to recover them I'd believe you. I can't find anything stating otherwise. I guess I'll have to abandon this file and start anew. I'll be sure to research what events are missable ahead of time and make more frequent saves.

As for being in Novigrad, I'm just doing things at the level the game suggests. I obviously haven't found everything in Velen, but that's because the monsters in certain areas are currently too strong for me. I'll go back for it I promise

Are you certain that's true? It might be the difficulty I'm playing on, but I've encountered contracts and wandering monsters in Velen leveled up to the mid-20s. That's no match for a level 13 Geralt

Learn to fight those Monsters. Even if a monster is 15+Levels above you doesn't mean you Can't win with a little Patience, Planning, And the Right gear.

Also you Don't have to rush at all with the levels the quests are. If you're worried about getting EXP, Just set your game to auto-scale enemies from the Settings.
