is there anything I can do to stop that ? I can't seem to be able to make it stop. First time I see this and I am deep into NG+

it's known occasional bug. save/reload can fix it iirc or maybe giving many random inputs.

if you have a controller make sure one of the joysticks are not pressed down when you turn it on or start the game.

If playing with a controller, it might be drift, the game doesn't have any features for calibrating the thumbstick's deadzone.


edit- don't forget, if using KB+M and other controllers are active, any drift and or something pressing on the thumbstick will still affect game.

it's known kb+m bug that'll never be fixed at this point. save/reload and move on.

btw've you noticed sheathe/unsheathe sometimes doesnt happen either and there's cant attack bug too if you're in defensive position for long periods in combat. you can also get stuck in certain ditches in velen bog area. and sometimes game doesnt let you go underwater while swimming. save/reload's your friend for all these.
