Does a Sword build need Resolve, Undying or Razor Focus?
I'm running an Alchemy build that relies primarily on swordplay and bombs, with a few supplementary Signs that are tailored specifically to enhance my melee abilities. I've finally settled on what I think is a good skill spread for this build:

-Melt Armor 5
-Cat Skill Techniques 1
-Exploding Shield 3
-G.Blue Mutagen

-Muscle Memory 5
-Precise Blows 5
-Whirl 5
-G.Red Mutagen

-Acquired Tolerance 3
-Heightened Tolerance 5
-Refreshment 5
-G.Green Mutagen

-Poisoned Blades 5
-Gourmet 1
-Protective Coating 5
-G.Green Mutagen

-Synergy 5
-Tissue Transmutation 5
-Efficiency 5
-Cluster Bombs 5

Mutation: Euphoria

Using the full Manticore set with Levity runeword, the idea is to use a a buttload of Alchemy and Signs to supplement fast attacks with, going all out with potions, decoctions, oils and bombs. Exploding Shield is for crowd control and setting up knockdowns, Melt Armor is to enhance my sword damage against tougher opponents and bosses. Bomb damage will be maximized with the Manticore set bonus and Cat Skill Techniques, and the crit damage from both will also apply to my swords. Combined with Euphoria for Sword/Sign damage, hopefully Geralt will become a meat grinder in the end.

Does this build need any Adrenaline-related skills to function? Can I get by without Resolve, Undying, or Razor Focus?

Does it need any? No, if you dont rely on adrenaline, tho undying can always be useful as a second life

Razor focus.. Whirl requires adrenaline to do, Razor focus will help tremendously with that.. I don't understand why you have gourmet though.. With a heavy alchemy build you should have multiple decocations including Troll and Enkinda making vitatlity really easy to come by.. You may as well get the second quen ability for the first tree and move cat down.. That way you have a more effective healing method, and you get even more sign intensity from the mutagen.
You may also want to get the medium griffin school training instead.... For insanely high stamina regen, and the sign increase.. With that and razor focus you will be able to whirl alot more. Not to mention use the signs alot more, inless you go the rage management general.

I was thinking about dropping Gourmet as well. It shouldn't be necessary once I start running Troll Decoction.

If Bombs end up being a dud in the end, even with the Manticore set, then I'm probably going to drop Cluster Bombs and Efficiency and instead grab more Sword skills. If I go Medium armor, then I'm probably going to run with the Wolf set instead of the Manticore set.

I'll pass on Active Shield though. I won't need it with Refreshment as my staple means of healing. Not to mention Troll and Ekimmara Decoctions.
