Witcher 3 doesn't detect mods on steam but does on nexus mod manager. Help needed.

Ive had the Witcher 3 for a while now and never used to have a problem with this but after finishing the main story and the dlc I stopped playing but decided to revisit yesterday to play a bunch of the side quests, when I launch the Witcher from steam none of my mods are detected, and some of the mods I need in order to play, although my hours get registered along with achievements, but with nexus mod manager I can play the game but no hours or achievements. I have also tried installing the mods manually by putting them into D:\Steam\steamapps\common\The Witcher 3\bin\x64\Mods, but mods are still not detected, would appreicate some help as I am very eager to play this game.

Check the folder location where NMM is installing the mods. I had this and it was installing to a different location to where the game was installed.

Tried that, changed the location doesn't save for some reason even after restarting NMM

D:\Steam\steamapps\common\The Witcher 3\mods\

This is the path where mods should go and it's why doesn't detect them.

If you want a one click go for mods then search for Witcher 3 Mod Manager in nexus since NMM doesn't have good support for TW3
