You cant romance both in the same playthrough.

You have to complete both Triss and Yennifer's optional quests and tell em you love them at the end of both of their quests. The quests i believe should be unlocked after taking care of some main story ♥♥♥♥ in novigrad and in skellige

well in order to "successfully" romance them both it has to be before you find Ciri and take her to Kaer morhen. You have to complete both Triss and Yennifer's optional quests and tell em you love them at the end of both of their quests. I know how to get the quest with Triss, but what about Yen?

it should be after you complete the quest "the calm before the storm", that yennifer gives you her quest. as long as you haven't already taken ciri to kaer morhen and all that schtick, the quest should be there

With Yen after going to the Garden of Freya she says she wants to ask you something. That's the quest.

By the way, romances are really easy in the game. Yennefer is totally straight, so you only have to say yes or no.

Triss plays more subtle because she feels still hurt and it's a bit afraid to start again by how it ended her relationship with Geralt. You should spot easily what you have to do if you want to bang her again.
