Any runewords/glyphwords actually worth it?
okay so atm i use 5% bleed/burn/poison on weapons, and stack Quen sign intensity in every armour slot. Nothing really looks that good tbh exept for deflect arrows, invigoration, retribution, whirl/rend buff, and grindstone/table effect. i mean yeah i know i can burn with igni and stun with aard but most of the time im casting quen so those glyphs i have are pretty useful and seem better overall ?

Don't think so.

The glyph/rune system is a very under-utilized system that feels like it was tacked on just to have some semblance of weapon customization.

It's even more useless when you consider that higher difficulties pretty much rely on Quen to survive encounters while lower difficulties have you doing enough damage on your own that you don't need it.

Initially I'm combat + potions + cat. I respec into a sign/potion build once I unlock Mutagens and fill my chest with

-Auto Quen (it's a time saver for exploration, arrows are nice only at certain places...make 2 if you like)

All slots go into Aard intensity (freezing aard, huge AOE when fully upgraded, much instant death,or slowing, or stagger + stun + distance knockback (just wow!) and a highest tawny owl at night is almost infinite stamina, even at day it barely wears off ) . And weapon slots I give 2+1 stuns or 2+1 staggers, as I have igni for a 100% burn/melt armor and anything that needs a swap away from aard for a nice burning will also need an armor debuff. I only buy Aard and igni and 3 conversations for axii in signs really.

Poison can be attained by oils at what 15% + whatever the modifier for the level of the oil so I'm guessing maybe 20-30% bleed chance?, your 100% covered on burn by a mastered igni, aard handles freeze and 99 other things, bleed kinda sucks 25-125 damage..nah.

^yeah its 15% poison chance but then you have to slot one green ability in character tab and i prefer other abilities ive unlocked that are centrered around fast/crit/adrenaline. also 15% isnt that much more than 5%, and 5% is high enough imo when youre using whirl i almost always see enemies either bleeding, burning, or poisoning.

tbh I have actually considered aard and igni points but then i would need to completely respec and probably buy a new set of grandmaster armour like wolven or griffin that focuses more on signs. My gameplay so far is more sword + quen is all

i think they can make quite some difference. surely in sign and bleed builds. like +40% some sign and +15% bleed. it's runewright stuff that's mostly useless imo.

I really like deflection for fighting humans, especially the hanses in Toussaint. Makes a big difference to be able to just ignore archers and crossbowmen while mopping up the melee dudes first. As you gain resources, you can make several versions of the same gear with different properties.

i thought bleed was percentage of health? im sure i remember reading that the glyphs you attack to weapons work like that, and the one you get from fast attack is fixed damage as you say (so therfore would suck on enemies with humongous health and why ive not unlocked it)
