No Stealth mechanics?
Surely Im just missing it but is there no way to crouch or any kind of stealth mechanics at all in this game? Getting tired of just trampling around loud as can be and alerting everything long before I can even see what it is.

There was a stealth section in the second game but it wasn't that well developed and it was Geralt unarmed and unarmored trying to escape a prison so it made sense. The game had a slide mechanic during combat in earlier versions but was scrapped, its possible they toyed around with the idea of a crouch/stealth mode you could utilize, but honestly in this sort of game you don't need to use it. If you use your toolkit and consumables effectively there is no reason to stealth, especially not a witcher of the School of the Wolf. Maybe a School of the Cat witcher was trained in such things but stealth has never been apart of the Wolf School training, especially when a lot of creatures have heightened senses anyway so there is no way you could be able to sneak around them, or they would just smell you out anyway.

Geralt is kinda like 'inevitable doom' or the Grim Reaper to whom he faces, especially monsters and the supernatural. Like a samurai, as opposed to a ninja, Geralt prefers the gained respect of whom he faces by engaging with the adversary before facing off. In the same light, he extends respect to whom he faces too by acknowledging the threat's power that he's about to thwart.

He's a total badass that refuses to hide.

Wait, what?

Ok so you mean to tell me that in a game that is mostly about hunting monsters... hunting.. hunting.. HUNTING(aka no stealth no realistic hunting no other option)... there is no stealth. There is however a confusing and boring as hell card game?

Tell me again how this has Overwhelmingly positive reviews?

I mean seriously.. how do you just leave out the main aspect of hunting? Stealth.

read the books. a witcher doesnt use stealth.

I'm pretty sure Geralt was created to be the ultimate alpha male. He beds a lot of women and has no time for drama - He's all man. Sneakiness is far too ♥♥♥♥♥ for his character, IMO. If it turns out you're outmatched, retreat or reload, like every other game. Don't be a beta.

No, none. It's not Thief or Ass Creed. He's a Witcher.

Gerald is a White wolf - dog family, not feline/cat family who like to play stealth. If the story call him a white tiger, then maybe he got the ability to play stealh.
