Some monsters were very easy to dupe, while others were perceptive and had keen senses. The game managed to present the different abilities of each monster just right in my opinion, and it did not trick the player into believing that they could outwit these hulking beasts at all.
It all just works out in my opinion.
And as I explained before in this thread, Witcher's are dumb af if they toss the easy advantage of stealth out the window by default. In ANY world real or fantasy, when engaging in a life or death fight, the common sense thing to do is to make sure you have the best possible odds of winning the fight by using anything and everything that could tip those odds more in your favor. And stealth before a fight that you are knowingly going into is just beyond idiotic to give up. The game was a let down due to this. Should have gave the player the ability to be creative about how they wanted to fight rather than having scripted scenarios. Lore be damned, the writers sucked if they actually specify that Witchers dont need stealth, as stated above, it's just dumb to give up any advantage, especially the one that gives you valuable intel on the situation you're about to engage in. This game would have been much better with stealth mechanics.
Wdym it would fit better? Made more sense? Do you even know who Geralt is? Have you spent more than 50 hours in that universe? Because if you had any more sense of what he is like, you would know that he is not stealthy. And he is a witcher. He is strong, stronger than most witchers. He doesn't sit in a corner and hide, waiting for someone to come along so he can fight them. No, he finds a contract, and hunts them down.
The few "stealth" missions there are can sod right off
Anyway the absence of stealth mechanics is one of the things that make tw3 a poor RPG.
Then why isn't Cyberpunk the same success as the Witcher as it has both of those elements as well?
I have seen a lot of people trying to argue that good games are poor but you're really doing an awful job here. Whomever is paying you for it should get a refund.
The Witcher goes in like a boss he is no sneak thief. The manliest man to ever man the man up. Plus the instant fail stealth section in TW2 really sucked.
Besides, cyberpuk sold well regardless of the drama.
I'm about 3 years too late. There's stealth mechanics now. Modded, but still.
