Centipede...
I've upgraded all my Yrden signs, am using Quen as well plus drink Black Blood and Superior Swallow (so far haven't got around to drinking Thunderbolt because I get tw-shot so fast I never have a chance to drink it).

I've tried staying within the Yrden circle, but found it somewhat more effective to Space roll around in order to avoid the acid spits the throw at you most of the time.

The centipede is lvl 71, I'm lvl 76, so it should be a no-brainer, but if you don't get the time you need to move into position in between attacks that it only takes two of to kill you it's not that simple.

Thanks in advance.

Golden Oriole negates the poison, give it a shot

Also set the yrden beforehand and try tricking them running into it.

Yrden for centipedes is aimed to them popping from the ground where Yrden is.

Black blood won't do nothing.

Golden Oriole potion, Ekhimada decoction and Insectoid Oil is the way to go. I think that those centipedes can't be attacked from behind because of their shell.

For the startegy, I dont know, pretty much like evey other enemies I guess. With Ekhimada decoction, you'll stay healed as long as you hit. Golden Oriole will negate poison amd insectoid oil will give you a buff against this specific type of enemy.

I'm already using Insectoid Oil but haven't tried Golden Oriole, I'll try it right away.

You're right about not being able to attack Centipedes from behind, even if you manage to stand behind it somehow you won't be able to do any damage at all (I already tried it twice not realizing I was behind the Centipede. When I noticed, I understood why my slashes had no effect at all).

Thanks for the tip, guys.

Yeah, without having Yrden up all the time starting as soon as you enter the cave you stand no chance.

True, but sometimes they'll stand from afar and spit at you although so far their spit hasn't done much damage to me so far, it's their hits that takes me out every time. That's why it's even more dangerous when you're fighting the front of the Centipede within the Yrden circle and get killed by a sudden popping up of it's tale behind you just outside the circle but close enough to hit you.
