Ciri's room - please help

I am using the witcher senses, and for some reason I can't take or read the book - It's there, but nothing happens. It should be marked in red. so does the spinner. they both don't. What could be the problem.

I tried reloading an earlier save and the problem repeats itself.

Are you reloading the Quicksave or an Autosave or Checkpoint? The Quicksave will often preserve whatever caused the glitch in the first place. Try loading an earlier point in the game, before this was an issue.

If that doesn't help, shut down the game, verify the game cache, then restart both Steam and the game and see if that works. Good luck.

Many thanks. I tried loading a much earlier save and restarting. I am not sure how to verify the game cache (?). How do I do it ?

To verify, right click on the game in your library, choose properties, then local files tab, then verify integrity of game files.

The task on your screenshot tells to "Read the book entitled "The Natural Obscurity of Curses"". This task can only appear if you already have taken the book. So mayby it's in your inventory, check it.

Answering to help someone out in the future since I couldn't find the book under "book"s and thought my game glitched. The Book is in your Inventory under "Quest Items".

Yeah I have the same issue and I couldn't find it in my inventory so idk what to do now
