2 Velen cards missing. (solved)

Sorry for adding to the probably thousands of threads like this, but I apparently have 2 cards missing from Velen, even though I've bought them all (from vendors that are listed to sell them on the wiki), got the Zoltan card, completed every single Gwent quest and gotten all 3 cards from a matter of life and death. Where are they?

Yeah, like I said I've done every Gwent quest (apart from high stakes, actually)

There's a village that is initially a Point of Interest(inhabited places).

You have to clear it and when people return to live there one of the merchants sells some cards. Worth checking around this, it happened to me that was missing that village and was missing 2 cards in Velen.

What Damian is referring to is a Person in Distress located at the Bandit Camp (island with that name on a large island just east of Claywich).

He sells five cards:
-- Black Infantry Archer (Nilfgaardian Empire)
-- Crinfrid Reavers Dragon Hunter (Northern Realms)
-- Etolian Auxiliary Archers (Nilfgaardian Empire)
-- Puttkammer (Nilfgaardian Empire)
-- Sweers (Nilfgaardian Empire)

Reason why I didn't mention him is because you say you are missing two cards. You'd notice if you were missing these five, which is why I suggested you try and figure out exactly which two cards you are missing by using a checklist.

Yep, I've freed him, and beaten Haddy. I didn't just use the book, I used a list of all the cards in Velen and cross-referenced them with my own collection. I'll check again I guess

The merchant in Claywich after you save him from the bandit camp to the east. When I had only two cards in Velen left after doing everything, that's where I found the last cards I needed.

So you might consider adding [SOLVED] to your title in your original post so that folks know you don't need help anymore with this.

it'd be even better to post solution besides title adjustment. that way others who hit upon similar problem can try same.

The missing merchant in claywich was my last 2.

Even though he has five cards, three of them are duplicates of what I got before.

I think the guy got confused because there's more than one merchant with cards locked up by bandits.

Sorry for the thread necro, but figuring it out was really helpful and I figure somebody else could be in the same spot.
