Can't "discover" monster den near hanged man's tree.

Hey

I'm trying to clear out all the undiscovered locations in the Velen/Novigrad region, I'm almost done but I need one just north-west of hanged man's tree, looking at other maps it's supposedly a monster den. I've tried looking at everything inside the cave, though it doesn't seem to do anything.

Has anyone had this problem and do you know how to fix it?

It shouldn't matter. If it's not triggering for you, your save may be glitched. Try reloading an earlier autosave or checkpoint to see if that fixes it. You could also try meditating, fast traveling elsewhere and back or just exiting the game and starting it up again. Sometimes that fixes things, sometimes it doesn't. Game is glitchy.

Yeah doesn't seem to work for me, weird thing is, most of the chests still have a yellow glow (using witcher sense) though when I walk towars them it dissapears. Guess I'll just have to ignore it for now and try another time, thanks for the help anyway though :)

If it disappears when you go near them, that usually means they've already been looted. If you haven't, then your current save is definitely glitched. It happens. Sorry it did for you. Hope the rest of your game goes more smoothly.

Yeah I have looted them once :/ First real glitch I've encountered, thanks for the help!

ahh i know that. its a part of story. u cant clear that but when u start a quest names "a deadly plot", that den will filled with 3 ice troll and u can choose to fight them or make a deal with them. so u cant clear it coz its a part of the story.

There are several chests located inside the cave. When you enter, theres a small alcove to your left containing a couple chests with some Witcher Gear diagrams, and then in the main chamber to the northwest of the trolls pot there is some scaffolding with two more chests. Loot these chests, and the location should then be considered cleared.
