what is the max amount of skillpoints you can have after finishing new game plus?

once you finish the story for the second time, reach lvl 100 and have done all the places of power twice what is the max amount of skillpoints you can have?

im wondering because there also are items that grant skillpoint but i do not know how many of these items excist (i mean items like the magic acorn)

Well, let's see. There are 6 Places of Power in White Orchard, 6 in Velen, 2 in Novigrad and 9 in Skellige. There's also one in Kaer Morhen (only accessible during the quest with Lambert, The Final Trial). There's another one located on one of the worlds you visit through portals in Through Time and Space, again only accessible during this quest with Avallac'h on the Dark Valley world with the poisonous gases. Then Blood and Wine added five more.

So that's a total of 30. Double that for NG+ -- 60. Then, every time you level up, you gain an Ability Point so for a level 100, that would be 99. 99 + 60 = 159.

That Magic Acorn grants 2 Ability Points if you eat it, so that's 161.

I can't think of any more, to be honest. And since you can't level past 100 and you can't stack NG+, that's about it.

Actually need to add something here. In Skellige, during King's Gambit, if you decide not to help Cerys and help Hjalmar instead or neither of them, then you will not have access to one of the Places of Power there as it is only accessible during that quest and only if you choose to help Cerys.

you can eat the acorn in both playtroughs so that makes 163 :D

You can get to the Place of Power in Kaer Morhen again if you miss it when you go with Lambert, but it is likely that you will have to kill Old Speartip as he will be awake if you visit again.

There is also the Golden Egg that you get from the Duck, Duck, Goose contract in the Land of a Thousand Fables in B&W. Eat it for 1 skill point giving another 2 overall. You must eat it before you leave the Land of a Thousand Fables as it disappears when you leave.

Add to the 161 that BuzzardBee mentioned to give 163.

Ah, that's right. Thank you both for pointing those out. I only ever played both expansions once each. And I never ate the acorn any of the times I played so I didn't much attention to those.

if youre wondering where to get the magic acorn, after defeating imlireth ciri will ask you to go back to novigrad. you can say you want to stay for a bit and then go and loot imlireth's body. it doesnt show the loot symbol on the mini map but you can actually loot him and get a magic acorn. just make sure you dont give it away to the civilians of the town at the mountain,
they wil ask for it.
