Having trouble with mods
So basically I want to install some mods for Witcher 3, to make it an even cooler experience. For instance, the "HD Reworked Witcher 3 Mod" and the "Weidzmin Lighting Mod". I manually downloaded these mods and put them within a mod folder that I created within the game's directory(Project Files 86/Steam/Steam apps/common/The Witcher 3). I have put these mods into the mod folder, I have searched up how to install mods, of course, but nothing works when I load the game...when on their vids when they load the game the mod works perfectly. I am confused because I put the mods into the mod folder yet the game looks no different when I load it. If someone could help me with this, that would be awesome, for I have not had a very good reputation with mods in the past.

The HD reworked projeckt will add a setting above ultra (if you install all the options that is) something like Halk Ultra HD.

When you install the HD Reworked Project by running the .exe (first file in the 2 offered for download on Nexus - current version is:The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project 5.0fix-1021-5-0fix.exe) it asks for your Witcher 3 install directory which will be something like:
Wherever steam is installed for you>Steam>steamapps>common>The Witcher 3 and tick all boxes to do the full setup.
Then follow the ultra HD config guide: http://i3.fmix.pl/fmi2776/601ed406000c203a5a7f22d8

There is another file on Nexus that is .7z that just contains the folders for you to put into several places yourself, but use the first one offered on Nexus, the .exe.

When the mods are installed they willl be in (for HD Reworked)
Wherever steam is installed for you>Steam>steamapps>common>The Witcher 3>Mods>modHDReworkedProject

Each mod will have its own folder within the Mods folder. All will be named something like: modHDReworkedProject or modNitpicker or modFixLabMusic

It is possible for mods to clash (I have no experience of the other mod you mention so don't know if that does), so it's usually best to install one at a time making sure everything works as each one is installed. It may pay you to strip out what mods you currently have, clearing the mods folder and verifying you files, then start installing them one at a time.
By the way, every mod should have a guide on how to install them on their own release page

Yes, and the discussions on Nexus for the mod are also worth a read information on potential problems and clashes with other mods.
Have you merged the scripts with Scipt Merger? That could make your mod work.
Don't merge. As stated in comments, HD Reworked should not be merged. You can try setting it to an higher load priority though

i have the mod inside of the game directory, Steam>Steamapps>common>The Witcher 3>mods. yet when i go to the grsphics settings ingame the texture quality does not have the option that the guide shows. I have done the full installation as well. I honestly have no idea what im doing wrong, it is downloaded the way you said it should be but it doesnt work

If you have the mod in "Mods" in the respective folder "modHDReworkedProject" with the files that are supposed to be there(check against the .7z file you download) and you can start the game then the mod is installed. No two ways about it. Any folder you put in "Mods" folder is interpreted by the game as a mod.

For the menu option to appear I think the installer handles it automatically. In manual installation you need to replace these files with the ones supplied with the mod:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Witcher 3\bin\config\base\rendering.ini
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Witcher 3\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc\rendring.xml

Both rendring.ini and rendering.xml files are also in the .7z downloaded from the mod page in nexus.

so i have the rendering files, do i put thewm inside the "Mods" folder?

No, you have to replace the original files of the game that I told with the corresponding file from the mod.
Furiey 4 mart. 2018 la 11:14
The installer should have already replaced those files if you ticked the boxes to install all parts of the mod. Did you run the .exe as Administrator?
"Mods troubles? This isn't Bethesda... "

But in all seriousness the only thing i'd be able to recommend is reinstalling said mods or reset the game's files to default settings.
