Locked doors bug

Ive been having troubles in opening doors almost around the witcher map. 1st is the quest with Yennefer in freeing a sorceress. Its through the elven ruins where you need to find a missing piece of a mechanism. Even if i managed to get it, really doesnt work. Same goes with ciri quest payback(?). When im about to help her elf friend in stealing the horses, same problems came up. I found the key, i tried opening it and says its still lock. I tried playing a new game +. Back to Kaer Morhen, same problem with the key and the locked door. Please i need help. I tried re-installing the game already.

Yes its my 4th time finishing the whole game. I tried to restart the whole quest, the great escape for example. Yet the lever doesnt really work. I tried playing it without the mods but it still wont work. Looks like its time to hang the swords for me :(

For the first one you noted, The Great Escape, where you need to find the missing lever, after you've found it, you retraced your steps to go back to the other door and still weren't able to unlock it? if that's the case, then it's definitely glitched.

You say this is your 4th playthrough. Do you mean you've played the game to completion three times and this is your 4th run at it or do you mean something else, such as this is your 4th attempt at getting through glitched quests?

If it's the latter, do you have any mods installed? Something seems to have corrupted some file(s) and a verification of the game cache would definitely be in order, certainly before considering re-installing the game. That should always be a last resort. If you have any mods, uninstall them all, do a verification of the game and try again.

I would not suggest using any of your current saves as they obviously have preserved the glitch.

As for Payback, are you trying to unlock the stable doors from the outside or the inside? You're supposed to do it from the inside.

In Kaer Morhen, do you mean the very start of the game? You cannot unlock the door there either? Your game definitely sounds seriously glitched. Sorry but I'm still suspecting a mod at fault here.

UPDATE: I managed to open the door in Kaer Morhen using fresh start. I also tried the new game +, using the saved file of my 1st playthrough. Though i found something interesting, since the new game + worked, I went back to the same file where i mod the level of geralt. Then i used it to a new game+, the locked door bug showed up again. Idk if its because of the mods? Or when i try altering the level system of geralt.

I would like to know if anyone happens to find a fix for this as well. I started having the same problem with the lever and the key not opening the doors. I can't go forward in the game until it's fixed.

The problem that triggered that event was my abuse of the fast travel mod. Literally jumped over the scene after killing Whoreson Jr. Then everything went to ♥♥♥♥. That proven because I deleted everything including the saved files and played the game with the same mods. But this time I did it right.
