Lol wait what?

The Temple Isle has a few minor quests I can think of offhand that originate there. It's also important to some of the Ciri scenes. A significant event happens along the bridge. Finally, there is at least 1 diagram that I can remember being out that way too.

Well yes, but the temple isle is mainly in the ciri memory, but im talking about free roam! there is 1 cat school quest, and 1 vendor, which is ridiculous for such a big area

There is also a woman you can save from bandits there in which she ends up helping you later on when your attacked to prove she didnt need your help.

There is also a woman who leads you into a trap. Part of a treasure hunt quest.

Theres a place of power located there.

But overall yes theres not alot to do there. But to me it makes sense theres not a lot to do there. Geralt is an oddity in a town where oddities are being put to flame. Yes its just sorceresses at first but through out the course of the game al non humans and even regular human alchemist were subject to being put to death.

The first thing you do in novigrad is go to Triss's house and your confronted by Mengi i think thats his name anyways lol. In which he flat out says Geralt breaks a single law and Mengi wont hesitate to treat him just like any other oddity and put him to death.

Temple isle is the headquarters of the church of eternal fire.

In actuality geralt would want to have little time spent there as possible. Preferably none.

Hmm, good thoughts, never really thought about it in the lore POV

imagine being the design team spending hundreds of hours working on this area, and then the level designers/campaign writers completely ignore it.

I did find it odd that there was so little to do there.

incase you missed it, along the north east ridge there's a pair of boots by the ledge, a chest behind the rock with their clothes and their body can be found at the bottom of the cliff. there are some nice details they put in there. but i would tend to agree. it's a giant building that i spent some time looking for something hidden there. but the temple really is just a big dumb empty box. worth exploring but its disappointing that you cant climb the tower like how you can run the city walls of novigrad or explore the sewers. I thought it might be a jumping puzzle but it wasnt.

It would actually make a perfect section for stealth gameplay! Geralt the witcher infiltrates in the temple/prison of the Church of the Eternal Fire!

How CDPR couldn't have thought in it...
