Oxenfurt Drunk Fail Bug

I was getting the auto fail as soon as I left the tavern drunk. Eventually I reloaded the game, mediated to clear my toxicity and potions and sat down to drink again. The quest then progressed as normal. I think it fails because I had potions in my system and as Geralt remarks "the katakan sensed something was up."

@buzzardbee The task AND the quest were failing as soon as I left the bar drunk with potion effects. Reloaded, meditated, spoke to barmen for drinks, and the quest continued.

I did not bother going so far back as before I received the quest. I got it around level 5 and completed the quest at level 22.

If u have active concoctions or potions it will auto fail. when ur drunk. just meditate an hour before talking to the inn keep to remove them and then proceed. i had the same problem
