wavy horizontal lines while playing
whenever i move around at all those horizontal lines appear across the screen. Any tips or suggestions?

Gonna elaborate a bit more than Samael. If the "lines" you see look like "image mismatchs", that is, like mixing parts of two images then what you are having is common and is called tearing.

It happens when your GPU renders images faster than the monitor displays them. You have to enable VSYNC and set a frame limit that matchers your monitor refresh rate(30Hz, 60Hz, 120Hz, 144HZ,...) in the game menu as Samael said.
