The Cursed Chapel ('blue expansion')
I'm trying to do the quest "The Cursed Chapel" but have difficulties.

The first time I tried I almost got the wraith but died eventually. Since then I haven't had any chance at getting close to kill her because she simply renew all her health and I end up with a sword that no longer works.

How am I supposed to do this quest?

Than ks in advance for any helpful advice.

..........
P.S. I've always had the hardest time with Wraiths, that may be part of the issue but that also makes advice even more important.

well in death march I use space to move fast away, and then use the crossbow with the 3 healing spirit

Thanks for the tip, I'll try this.

I use Space all the time because I've found that hitting 'S' only makes him take a very small step backwards, nowhere near enough to get him out of harms way, and certainly not enough to get him back into the Yrden circle.

I do use Yrden no matter what because this Wraith doesn't take any damage if I don't. The problem is that after the first try (where I almost got her) she's started retreating away from the circle while I don't have anough in my bar to make another Yrden circle, and during the waiting time she heals herself completely. That's why my sweord ends up going red before I get a chance to kill her.

I'll try using Aard and see if that makes any difference. It just might since there are plenty of other sections in the Beastiary where different techniques work better than the ones that are stated there.

I think there's some terrible advice here.

I assume you have Mastercrafted gear?

How to defeat wraiths: Normal, wraiths, even same level as you - just fast attack, and dont' let one of their buddies behind you. Simple.

Boss Wraiths. Use Quen, lasts quite a while -then switch to Yrden. Soon as you can cast it, do so. Dodge/move/wait back of Yrden circle for Boss Wraith. Soon as enters, attack, maybe twice, then dodge backwards, and await. When healing wraiths turn up, kill asap, they only need one hit. Resume normal proceedure.

I don't mean to sound big headed, but these things are a cinch by now. I would never lose to one.

;)
