In a normal "real" fight, I never saw anyone healing himself, while his opponent wasn't even smart enough to do the same....
If you have already crafted the Swallow potion in the alchemy section and it doesn’t seem to show up, you may already have it crafted. Once you’ve crafted a potion you never have to retrieve it’s original ingredients or have to brew it again. However in order to restore potions you’ve already made before, you must use meditate. There is no requirement for how long the meditation to restore your potions is, so go ahead and take a one hour meditation. It will use one alcoholest or any strong alcohol in your inventory to restore the potions. If this doesn’t work, respond to me. I’ll do my best to get back to you.
Whole game is about crafting and brewing stuff, healing potion included. Anyway, later on you'll get deeper alchemy and you'll craft a decoction that heals you when you deal damage.
