I solved this problem! :) / HELP ME! :( Bug in the middle of the "White Orchard Beast" quest.

I bought it today, but I can't play the game due to a bug in the middle of the "White Orchard Beast" quest.

After obtaining the buckthorn, I will be unable to move after conversing in front of the hotel after talk to Vesemil.

But I can use Backspace key and see my belongings.

However, I cannot use the Esc key, so I cannot get out of the status screen.
As a result, I can only shut down Witcher 3.
How can I fix this bug?

I've never seen that bug, whether on Windows or Linux. Did it return when you reloaded the game?

I'm having this problem too, During the same dialogue i get into my menu, go the alchamy tab and make the thunderbolt potion as instructed. and then the game crashes. everytime.

Unfortunately, even after restarting, I cannot move in the same scene.
I use Windows 10 and my computer has enough specs. :(

And I play games in Japanese.

And don't crash.

I had an issue similar to this while playing The Witcher. I could not use the ESC key. Coming back to the game fixed it but then I had some other key issues. It was my keyboard. I bought a new one and haven't had an issue yet. I think my keyboard was just worn out.

I checked my keyboard again and it was not broken.
and ESC key can be works in other games and even works outside of this scene on Witcher3.

I'm sorry that wasn't the problem. Hopefully someone else has had this same problem with a different solution.

it was on tutorial lock problem. I should use page down/up key for next page.

Seriously i had the same problem where i couldn't move at all. I did first everything else such as side quests and didn't realize that i had to go to the alchemy section where i have to brew the thunderbolt potion first before i'm able to use my keyboard again since it didn't told me that in the moment to do that.
