The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Absolute OST
Hi.

This is something I made. I extracted the sound files from the game and then took all the WEM files in which majority of the sound is. That is ambient, background, battle music, gwent, etc.

The duration of this compilation is about 15 hours.

Everything was rendered and made into an album that I also tagged.

The download has FLAC (Lossless) AAC (Lossy) version and the art work.

Mega Link [pastebin.com]

Those of you running into a download limit, look up a program called Megabasterd. It lets you bypass the Megaupload limit. (by randir14)

What do you mean? If you mean because of the link, its because MEGA links are deleted.

SAD BOI: Thanks for your effort and willingness to share your work.

The 6+ gig download lasted about 3/4 before it quit with some message "limit exceeded" from the MEGA site. Upon returning, I noticed I had to purchase a "download item" with 4 choices. I can easily afford $5.56 but this would require creating an account and the cost would be PER MONTH. That means after the download, I would have to go cancel the account, etc, etc.

In contrast, last week, I purchased some video from a site where I downloaded 22 movies at 20GB each with no problem. Looks like the MEGA site wants to lock me into a monthly account. Perhaps if you broke the 6+ GB into 2GB files, it would be better available to us.

Thank you.

Yeah. The size is a problem but I don't believe there is any other size that offers this much storage to begin with. I'll see if I can find a better host solution.

The file is now split and you have 5 seperate downloads, each no bigger than one gigabyte.

There are also options of both FLAC and AAC download.

I'm glad to be of service. CD Project RED did the majority of work though :)

Because Dropbox offers only 2GB and Mega offers 50. To upload all the files I need 15Gb.
All versions in FLAC, AAC, compilation and seperate parts.

Uhh ... you do realize that the GotY Edition contains the soundtracks for the base game and the DLC?!? (Along with various artbooks, concept art etc.)

UGH. You do realise that only offers a fraction of all the sounds?

UGH. You do realize that the official OST is about 5 hours long, while this lasts over 15?

UGH. You do realise that this offers almost all the background sounds, music, ambient the game has and not only selected ones you hear in official OST?

Check FAQ for more information:

What is this? This are the sounds you hear in the game when you are battling monsters, playing gwent, during specific cutscenes, when you're doing some actions. It contains almost all the files that the game uses.

How is this different from the official release? The official release contains only small songs from the game. This contains almost all of them. There are over 900 files that were extracted from the game, converted, compiled and edited. This includes many more sounds that you only heard in the game and never on official OST. The full length of this compilation is over 15 hours.

Why are there random sounds in this? Not all the files are music. Some are game effects for when you're battling a monster or when you are in a dialogue. Some are just weird heavy breathing. To go through all of them would be a crazy task as there is probably over 9000 files all together from which I used only the majority of sound ones that you can hear here now.

How did you do this? I extracted audio from the sound cache. Then I extracted files from those. After I finally got the required files (WEM) I converted those to a playable format, which I later tagged, edited and rendered in a video you're listening to now.

Update:

I downloaded all 6 sections without negative incident. I spot listened and all seem to come thru just great (aac). I’ll be looking forward to studying them in detail.

Some have indicated that by buying the premium W3 bundle, the music bonuses are already there. Been there - done that (exploring those songs). However as you said, this effort of yours certainly covers more.

In regard to ZIP, I noticed that both ZIP and STANDARD DOWNLOAD are exactly the same size (byte-per-byte). In my experience ZIP eliminates redundancies in text (trailing spaces) and in photos (similar adjacent pixels).

Since music varies so much, ZIP can't really compress much. ZIP is convenient though when consolidating several files into one (to transmit).

Again, many thanks for your time and effort!

Yup.
ZIP does not work with videos and music as those are already compressed.

Yes. This has over 15h while official ost is little under 5 hours.

Cheers.

Thanks for this. I would upload it somewhere else but as I said before everything is so big I'd need to make multiple accounts and even then I'd hit the limits.
