Wicher 3 wild hunt

Hi guys I am completely new to the wicher games and I've started playing wicher3 wild hunt which I am really enjoying but I have a couple of questions any advice would be greatly appreciated.
1st there is a lot of books in the game you can collect and sell etc but is it important to read each book ??
2nd I'm confided as to which fighting style I should go with when leveling up. I.e the cat school or the bear etc etc ?

1. They're mostly not important, but some of them will unlock new quests, info on the map or about monsters.

2. I always go for dmg in any game, so cat would be my choice. If you're going for fast attacks, try cat. Bear is for strong attacks and vitality if I'm right.

Emmm i dont know what you mean by ream them all? Like read everything they say? if so, ofc thats not the case xddd. You just have to press on them and the game will consider it as if you have read the book. Books are quite helpful coz they contain info for new quests and add info to the character/beastry. Now, as for the 2nd question, im like 70 hours in witcher 3, new at the game (almost) and never did i read somewhere an option about cat or bear? Whats that about xd?
