Werewolf in Wild at Heart quest is impossible to beat
I'm playing on Death March but the problem isn't the difficulty, it's his regeneration... It far outheals any damage I can do to him. I'm level 8 and this is a level 7 quest. I am using cursed oil on my silver sword, spamming igni, I have my strong attacks buffed 25% damage from abilities...

Quen isnt even worth using because by the time I cast he's already healed a quarter way.

Really need help nothing seems to kill him.

You just either 1 have to deal more damage then the rate he heals. Out dps the healing. Or 2 stop the healing effect. Igni has a chance of setting him on fire. This stops the healing affect. There are also bombs you can throw that spew a gas that you can use igni to make explode. This garauntees it will set the werewolf on fire. Provided he is in the gas when you make it explode.

There is also a bomb that stops healing effect. Forget what its called at the moment.

But yeah you just need to do something bout the healing. Seeing as you dont seem to be able to out dps it. You should try to stop the healing effect with the bombs that stop it.

Someone else will likely mention the name of the bomb. I just cant think of the name of it right now.
I had a problem too. Apply Oils, use potions, use stun magic, and just WAIL on him. I mean WAIL. I just kept swinging through his attacks even. You only need to get him down to about 25% health and the fight ends. Honeslty my best advice is just swing dammit, swing.

Yeah I managed to beat him soon after I posted this! It took quite a wailing to out DPS him. Required oil, used thunderbolt, and spammed igni and sword attacks.

The reason I couldn't out DPS was also because I was rolling instead of dodging. Rolling takes me farther away from him and has a longer recover time so he gained a lot of health back. Dodging kept me close so I could keep laying attacks on him
