Loremasters: why does Ciri run into the red eyed horse (Black Beauty) during her escape from the crones?

Anyone knows why Ciri runs into the red eyed horse ("Black Beauty") during her escape from the crones in the past?

Chronologically doesn't make any sense (Geralt sets her free in the future). I haven't found any youtube playthroughs that feature this surprise appearance from the horse/spirit.

First/normal playthrough. Saved the spirit from the Ghost in the Tree and The Whispering Hillock quest. Did lose the horse race to the baron though.

I'm not experienced with making videos; tried to grab it though (the red eyes are there but hard to see:)

CDPR injoke that was patched in? Weird glitch? This is my first run of the Witcher 3.

No, i doubt it. That area where Ciri is running from Crones is were the black horses spawn. If i recall correctly during the quest where you find a black horse, they spawn multiple of them, because i have encountered more than one. So you may have just run into the normal black horse rather than Black Beauty.

Or maybe you did the whispering hillock quest before the Crones asked for it?

Is/was my first playthrough; I only finished whispering hillock after the crones sent me there.

It is hard to see; but the horse waiting there for Ciri and then running off does have the same red eyes as black beauty.

I saw Black Beauty myself during Ciri's flashback. I think it's just a weird glitch...Ciri's run happens to take her to Black Beauty's normal spawn point. If you kill the Ghost in the Tree, she doesn't appear.

It's too bad the timeline doesn't work (the ealderman says the spirit has been there for three years), since it would have been cool if the Ghost of the Tree had been imprisoned specifically for helping Ciri. But, it's definitely not the case due to the timeline and the fact that Black Beauty disappears once the cutscene starts.
