Dodging suddenly stopped working

Hello.

Alt and double tapping on direction stopped working (and direction + space too), so I can't dodge at all. I tried to restart the game and unplugged the keyboard, changed the keys, but it doesn't work.

Please help :(

Default your key settings, and or try to rebind it and set it to its default. Your settings save to steam cloud. Have you tried other games to see if your Left Alt key is working? Do you have 3rd party software installed for your Keyboard/Mouse? Also if you haven't, google the issue. Let me know, i'll help as much as i can.
*EDIT* Also, when reinstalling make sure after you uninstalled, to delete the folder in UserName/Documents named "Witcher 3" and the Witcher 3 folder in Steam/Steamapps/Common/. There are left over files and for a clean install I did this in the past.

Thank you so much for your help! Unfortunately, full reinstall with cleaning and more googling didn't help. Also I tried to rebind/set to default the keys, nothing there, too. And I tested ALT in other games, it's working. I just don't know what to do. :(

Have you tried rebind alt to another key and then do that other key + tap ?

*Edit* what Bobywan said is a great idea. Personally i love the Spacebar/Alt combo, but what he said sounds like a great temp fix!

I'm trying my luck again with bumping this thread, as the rebinding didn't helped (I meant that by 'changing the keys', sorry, I'm not a native speaker) and I did created similiar thread on CD Project Red forum a while ago and nobody responded. Also I didn't find any way to contact their support directly. Thanks.

What type of Keyboard are you using?
The game might have compatibility issues with the one you have, apart from that i can't think of anything else. Perhaps going to "Device Manager" and uninstalling your keyboard, unplug it, restart your pc. Once it boots up, plug it in.

Good news! It ALMOST worked! The problem is, that ALT now's working only when I click the mouse. Only then I can dodge. But if I didn't clicked first, ALT is not responding in any way. It makes it very difficult. If there's any solution to this I would like to know. But if not I'll try to play this way. Thank you so much!

upd: keyboard model is Motorspeed CK82

You should barrow a friends keyboard and see if it works for you. Like i said, it sounds like a compatibility issue. It has happened to me in the past. Best of luck, and keep me posted okay? Hoping this gets fixed for you.
