Can i go past the world's end?
There are places where it's obvious that i can't go further. But i am at a place that there are even chests that are glowing in the short distance. But even if i run i can't reach them in time. What gives?

It's very bad design, that's what gives;

I have plenty of times where I was in the middle of fights, and the enemies jumped into what the game considers to be "past the end of the world," even though I could still see them perfectly clearly.

Then when they walked another two feet forward, they could damage me, and then when I attempted to counter attack, they had jumped "past the end of the world" again and so were invulnerable, as the game kept automatically-force-re-opening my map every few seconds while this cycle kept repeating, which was the epitome of horrible, aggravating, unbelievably-bad game design.

I see your OP as yet another example of that same thing.

If you’re talking about the Northeast section of Novigrad, it unlocks with Hearts of Stone DLC.

There are mods on Nexus that let you go past the end of the world. If you go too far though you can fall through the map.

The is a ? In Kaer Morhen, a wyverns nest where there are 2 wyverns. I always struggle as that is right at the edge of the world and the fight with those keeps getting interrupted by the map opening. On one occasion I killed the 2nd wyvern and it fell just beyond where I could go so I could see it but not loot it as every time I tried the map would open and I would be turned back.

I remember a similar locus in Spiderman web of shadows from over a decade ago, where I saw bands of Kingpin's gliders prowling around Manhattan bridge. I tried to reach them but the map boundaries kept pushing me away, further within them. This really annoyed me given that there was no "power wall" of some sort isolating spiderman within the precinct. TW3's design made more sense to me, among many others, because there are actual relics that you could compare to devils taking refuge at the edge of civilisation. But I can understand why this might bother a lot of players, although calling it an inherently bad design simply projects your animosity.

Jesus fecking christ, where are you fighting at seriously? 450+ hours, did literally everything in the game, never come across a possibility of such a fight, let alone fights(plural). And i reckon its only might be possible while clearing that bandit camp at the far other corner of the White Orchard(bottom left in map screen), and even that is a very long shot.

There are instances that the end of the world doesn't appear to be the end of the map.

Some places like the bald mountain are tied to a story related quest.

The line has to be drawn somewhere. That's what you have to deal with, when your game world is not an island for different reasons (in this case, reasons of well established lore).

Many games have an edge and the mechanic which doesn't allow you to go further depends from game to game. In some games, you die, in some games, you encouter a hill or mountain or invisible wall. In TW3, Velen isn't rally that mountainous so there's a mechanic that has you teleport to a signpost, if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah i was talking about places that there was something interactable beyond the edge of the world. Also, Geralt sometimes says "should i go back or should i press on" or something like that. It seems weird, since it implies that you could continue but it would be extremely difficult xD

Haha, I never felt that was implied. Again, due to the region's geography, it's likely that the villages or small inhabited buildings would go on for very, very long. Still, the fact remains that you are bound to some limitations. Maybe the developers were careless and didn't put the edge correctly, or they wanted to say exactly what I mentioned above, we can only guess. Doesn't bother me that much either way. There's more than enough loot to go about if you do the Points of Interest.

True, and we find better diagrams from completing the scavenger hunts. I got a few Nilfgaardian guardsmen chestpieces from the points of interest, but most of the time I ended up collecting random junk.

Guys, i didn't say the game doesn't have enough stuff already, i just found weird what Geralt said and the fact that there were interactable objects in sight. Obviously it must have some sort of limitation.
