can I avoid playing the main quest?
I've played this game before for 70 hours and i loved everything about the stories except for the main quest... bore me to death... i like the world and lore more than the main storyline... so is it possible to maybe play a saved game where the main quest is completed and i can just enjoy the other huge portion of the game?

Your request is strange because TW3 is not maybe the best game to play ignoring the main quest.

For instance is Skyrim the main quest is a 15-20% of the game and that being optimistic. It's safe to ignore the main quest.

In this gane main quest mean 50% of the gane directly + 15-20% of side quests that have some kind of ties with main quest, which makes the main quest a requirement to do them. So you are left with 1/4 of the game if you strap away the main quest.

EDIT

Got it, you can't stand Ciri and Yennefer. The only constructive thing I can say, give the expansions a shot...

Yes, you can play the game even after the main quest is completed.

you can ignore the main quest (after the intial location) and roleplay openworld afaik

another option might be to dl a saved game from somewhere if you dont have the save game you already played
https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/searchresults/?src_cat=21
here is one possible location to get them, but im sure there are others

Yeah but I thought the main game is necessary for opening locations or can you go anywhere right from the start? The main game does get you most of the experience and then the sidequests will be a little too hard i think... idk... the level scaling is kinda weird... a saved game where the main quest is completed, would that be a good experience?

I found this: https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/2193/?

#6 is a new game with main story finished.

Question tho: will this be a good experience? Do the side quests connect a lot to the main story? cause i heard they do and that sucks.

XD but then I have to pay extra for dlc whilst i already paid 60 bucks for this game only enjoying 1/4 of it just because i dislike 2 characters, jaysus. Anyways, thanks for clarifying everything for me

You dislike the co-protagonist(Ciri) of the game, that also happens to be quite close in personality to the other protagonist(Geralt) and the 3rd most important character in the game(Yennefer).

Is up to you if is or not enough to just not even playing the game, but no one has the blame for you disliking them. Just a story-driven game in which you seem to truly dislike 2/3 characters from the lead trio has not much future for you.

My recommendations for expansions is because Yen and Ciri are not part of their storyline. Is just Geralt making 2 big contracts.

Ah cool i'll check that out. But what about the contract side quests with all the monsters you can hunt? I can still do that right cause that was rly fun. Thanks man

Yes, contract quests are unrelated and standalone. Same stands for points of interests and treasure hunts. You can do them without touching main story.

i really thought i would be the one to give the correct answer. guess my answer was not good enough for you, though you have put the level so high, too high for me.

If you won´t follow the main quest, you can´t even leave White Orchard..
