Weather cards are trash (imo). Don't get them. They take up space for actual good cards. Decoys are useful for stalling, getting two revives from one card, or taking yet another spy card.
Medic cards are also, obviously, useful for reviving spy cards that were played against you.
What I do is play all the spy cards I get, hopefully steal some back with decoy, pass the round, and revive them next round. Whoever gets the numbers advantage in Gwent is often the winner.
Somehow, I skipped over that. Yeah, the real good stuff is in the Gwent main quests. You may occasionally get something actually worth a damn from a random merchant, but the chance of that is extremely rare, and they'll never give out any of the really good stuff.
