Anyone else got bored once in Novograd?
At the start i was thinking this is the best game ever. The bloody baron etc was great but then I was in this big city just walking around for boring quests. I just can't bring myself to play it anymore. I really want to play it but I just feel like I am wasting my time. Weird in fallout 4 I never felt like that.

Thats what I felt fallout 4 .
Witcher 3 ? I just finished it just now after clocking 53 hours lmao.

Just do the main quests and exploring the wilderness + side quests are entertaining by themselves.

Opposite for me. Was having fun in Fallout 4, but the absurd amount of radiant quests really wore me down over time.

Quite the contrary. Novigrad stuff felt like a nice change of pace from all the fighting with the theater stuff and all.
Velen's part made me feel depressed, its pressure and growing pessimism was very hard. Novigrad brought me a sense of a bright sunbeam with nice culmination. I never got bored in the city :)

I really loved exploring Novigrad and truly seeing all the aspects of medieval life it brought out. To the lower district filled with beggars and thieves, to some people painting, some working for the industry, rich people not understanding anyone else living in misery, business men, religious fanatics which were trying to brainwash the uneducated, and so many more, it really made Novigrad one of the best cities I have ever seen in a game so far. Truly remarkable.
The game's biggest mistake is leading you to believe you should rush through it to find Ciri faster, which stops you from truly experiencing the beauty of all quests, especiall the theater ones. I hope you'll see it how it is meant to be seen after all

Novigrad is one of the best thing i've seen in fantasy videogames. Fallout 4? Diamond "city"?? cmon :D wilderness with nothing to do but repetitive quests.

Fallout 4 got boring after 3 hours, your opinion is worthless. Stick with casual run and gun pieces of crap

Fallout 4 was good, but Witcher was great. No comparison imo.

Well OP, you're at 58 hours played and have only just reached Novigrad. I'm gonna assume you pretty much went to every marker on the map in Velen to clock that many hours already. Now you have just entered a whole new area with hundreds more map markers, you are probably fatigued. My suggestion would be just focus the main quest and dabble with a few side things that peak your interest. Don't force yourself to do everything! (if that is the case)

Yeo, I spend like 20 hours in Novigrad, it feels so good when i leave out of city.
It might be better to mix the city and contract quest, don't focus on city quest only.

Novigrad is awful; if you're having fun in garbage quest chains like the terrible se7en rip-off or that Hamlet-lite bit where you try to catch DooDoo by staging a dumb play, you might just be an idiot. Velen and Skellige were far better, but for the latter it was too little too late, I'm afraid.

Witcher 3 is every bit as casual and boring as Failout 4; sorry, but it's your opinion that's worthless if you believe otherwise.

Go play an actually good RPG like Divinity: Original Sin that requires actual thinking (rather than just cutscenes and BS combat), then try to tell me otherwise. Seriously, just try it.

Seriously.

I found I had to force myself to continue Fallout 4. Since hitting Diamond "city" as someone above very accurately referred to it, the malaise of playing it was too much and I thought maybe it's time to finally dig in to Witcher 3. So glad I hopped games because I haven't been able to stop playing this, it's amazing. Almost but not quite as amazing as how mad some people in this thread are getting over some internet opinions. Calm down, it's good for your brain.

Ah, I see you're not past insulting anyone who has other opinion than you. Maybe someone will take you seriously once you are more mature than this. Maybe. Maybe not.

Novigrad is like still the beginning of the game. If you're bored because of that city, you are probably spending too much time doing side stuff and not actually advancing any main quests especially if you've already spent 60 hours in the game. Stop screwing around and advance the game so its less boring to you.

I was responding to this forum's Chief Execrable Officer IceColdLeotard; there are plenty of reasonable, decent people with whom I may strongly disagree and while you and Suicide XD and Deadbubble are among them, ICL is absolutely not. Sorry if I didn't make clear.
