Ciri and Emhyr
Don't let Emhyr get Ciri. I actually liked Emhyr until I read more Witcher books, past the first one. If you have any sympathy with him now after playing W3, you won't have any after you get to know him better and why he wants Ciri to become empress. He is disgusting, one of the most disgusting people in the Witcher universe.

Just let Dijkstra win the war, then Emhyr dies.

The problem with that argument against the "empress ending" - I mean, the argument that you shouldn't let Ciri go to Emhyr because he's a rapey perv and wants to impregnate and control her - is that Ciri would never let him do that and Ciri is literally the most OP person in the Witcher universe (at least in the game version of the universe). Ciri isn't going to let Emhyr do anything to her. She could kill him instantly if she wanted to, and frankly anyone else too.

Ciri does not want to be at court. If you'd read any of the books, you'd know how much she despises that sort of life. And this man, her natural father, is responsible for the deaths of her grandmother and mother. Why in the world would she want to have anything to do with him?

Even when Geralt mentions that he wants to see her, it's very clear that she does not trust Emhyr nor does she want to see him. Geralt has to convince her that she should in order for her to even go there. You are making her do what she does not want to do.

The empress ending looks fine on paper but Ciri is actually heir to a half dozen thrones and the last one she would ever want to take for herself would be the Nilfgaardian one.
yeah i like dijkstra especially in the books so i sided with siegfried, iorveth and dijkstra

You obviously did not read the books because nowhere does Ciri despise court life LOL

She is very fine with it!!!

.She did not run away to brokillon as a kid because court life, she run away because she did not want to marry some boring kid she did not like. She was still very young. Later in life she would be much more willing to accept her role of marrying someone as you will read further ahead.
. She did not leave Cintra because she did not like her life there. She left because she had to run away. She had no good alternative choice.
. She was fine with being with Geralt not because she does not like court life but because she thought Geralt was her destiny. She was somewhat scared on arrival at KM. All witchers there helped her feel at home but it was them and not the place. She never ever talked about going back to live at KM once she left.
. She was very much fine when Triss helped her dress up a bit once more. She wanted more of it and not less. It should be said however Ciri had no issues with more practical clothes whenever situation dictated. But she very obviously enjoyed better ones.
. She was very much fine with being with Yen and really wanted to stay with her. Yen did not have a "normal" lifestyle by any standards. Yen was always given nice places to stay everywhere and mostly treated like royalty. Once more, Ciri wanted to stay with Yen!
. Ciri run away from Yen because she absolutely wanted to see Geralt before going to Aretuza. However, on her letter to Yen you can read that Ciri indeed was still planing to go for her magic education. She remarks very clearly that none will need to clean her nose once she is a student there.
. Ciri was forced to run from Thaned and everything which happens after that she was on the run and did not have tons of good options. Her life with the rats its not the stuff of her dreams. In fact, she is clearly traumatized and "numb", not understanding her place or what she should do next. Given no choice she gives in and tags along with them, but its never her true place.
. When Ciri gets to know about fake Ciri, she wanted to go back and claim her place. She thinks about it and we know her thoughts. She also talks a bit about it with Mistle. She effectively runs away from the rats and she was on her way to Cintra. She turned back because she got knowledge the rats were going into a trap and she wanted to warn / stop / help them.
. Ciri was very ok with her life with the elves. The problem for her was the lack of freedom (very minor thing). She was even able to agree with being a concubine to the king and she could perform that. It was indeed the king who could not....get it up ;)
. Ciri agreed to go with the emperor even tough she was crying. But once more, she was crying because she feared for both Geralt and Yen and she did not want to be away from them. She was obviously realizing something bad could happen to them if they were not being allowed to come along.
. Ciri agreed to go with the lodge plan to marry her with a northern prince. She was very willing to go live like a concubine at court.
. Ciri was very fine with going with the knight at the end. She was asking to go meet people of power and not to go live in the next unknown farm.

So.........where did you read she did not like or did not want court life?
What kind of life do you think she wanted? Where did she say in the books she wanted that life you think she did?

Honestly curious! I know these books quite well.
