How does one go about this? I've unlocked the master craftsmen, I've got standard/enhanced/superior recipes for the gear that interests me, yet I can't seem to figure out how to unlock the Witcher Gear bonuses.

It's something you can do in Touissant (Blood & Wine expansion)

Also enjoy spending a horrifying amount for even half the set. Save dimetrium and monster guts.

And unless I'm off-my-rocker you'll need to use at least one of their swords even if you have their crossbow for that full 6 item bonus. Which seems hellishly pointless with other awesome blades floating about.

if one does not have the Blood & Wine expansion installed will the grandmaster text still appear in the item description? that would be maddening

I have all the DLC etc. That is a bit annoying to have to go through all that to unlock the bonuses. Some of the bonuses aren't really all that great to begin with. the Wolven armor in particular seems a bit disappointing, at least for my preferred playstyle.

yeah i think the bonuses are pointless . i mean you are to play blood and wine after the main game so ..basically you will have the set bonuses for what just blood and wine?

seems pointless to me lol.

Before, when I only had the base game and Hearts of Stone, I never saw the grandmaster text. It began showing up when I tacked on Blood and Wine. So no, never had that issue. I agree though, that would be highly irritating lol.

Level 34 for the Griffin Gear that I'll use "till the end of the game ( I'm using Sings a lot , just use the swords for finishing the Opponents)....A couple more of Levels and I'll have it....

The two swords given by the DLCs seem far more broken than set bonuses anyhow. It seems better to piecemeal.

You don't take three swords with you into combat?

Run into a bandit camp with a jar of grease like that and I can garuntee record clearing time.

I've done so many quests but too low lvl to do higher quests.
Really haven't understood how to unlock grandmaster for armor and weapons.
