That's something I never understood really: why making those doors "highlightable" and sometimes even asking for a key then?

Thats fairly common in large open world games. You encounter areas that were intended for smt (quests, plot), but were dropped during development and just left there to 'exist'

look at GTAV like 95% of doors are locked :D, also CDProject Red is not super giant corporation like EA or Ubisoft , so they had to make compromises even though they have one of the best looking open worlds ever made.

Its not that good looking. Sure the city looks nice, and the 4 tree models sre quite nice, but I wouldn't call it good looking becsuse there simply isn't enough to look at.

Says the guy with nearly 500 hours in Fallout 4. That game looks like dog vomit next to TW3.

So what? PST and BG looks like turd compared to both, yet is leagues better than both.

But sure, graphics, man!

You don't have to be a mega corporation to learn good coding habits. TW3 is filled with leftover code, crap that was removed, stuff that was never put in, tons of references to the same events causing most triggers to go haywire if approached incorrectly. Just very sloppy code throughout.

That's where training new hires comes in. That's where competent team leadership becomes value. And that's where good management steps up to the plate. CDPR has none of that.

What happens often with Ubisoft is that they try to do too many things at once. Consequently they end up outsourcing a lot of sh!t. But what's unforgivable with them is that they don't even check the material when it's turned in. Case in point: Mass Effect Andromeda.

EA's problem is simply greed. Why take the time to bother making good games when they can crank out mediocre ones and people will just gobble them up. Standards hit rock bottom years ago for them.

And CDPR wants to play with the big boys. They want to be the next RockStar. From the sound of it, they're well on their way if all they want is to churn out crap without a care about quality or good practices.

Like most former pirates, they want the glory. And the money. But don't really care that they don't have the chops to actually deliver anything decent. TW3 got a ton of undeserved praise. There is nothing special about the game. It had a stellar marketing campaign, a lot of lined pockets for initial reviews, a bunch of awards from nondescript and tiny websites and a crap ton of luck. Then the ball just kept rolling.

Been two years, still no word on anything new coming from them and they were supposed to release a new game last year. Strike that, this year. Strike that again. Next year? No word on CP 2077 other than a lot of boasting but no specifics. It will include many things they have never tackled before and an entirely new staff working on the game. A couple of hundred other new people working on other things no one has a clue about. Meanwhile, their investors are hoping they don't lose their shirts.

CDPR likes to party. CDPR likes to redecorate their offices (two of them now) every other week. What CDPR doesn't seem to like to do is take anything seriously.

But I think with over 600 employees at the moment, they can no longer cry "tiny company." They are one of the big boys now and people will come to expect more from them. Yeah, good luck with that.

Excuse me but... What's with the dissertation of resentment?
