The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
White Gull
So I crafted pretty much all potions and bombs and whatever else needs White Gull... pita to make so many.

I haven't bought the DLCs yet but plan to after I finished the base game. Do the DLCs require again so many White Gulls or can I now relax and stop asking every inn keep I encounter for the alcoholics?

White gull may be found (rare loot) and crafted (alcohol) - need to buy other alcohols and then craft some (they are a bit expensive)
The expansions don't add anything that I can think of that needs White Gull so don't worry about stocking up on the ingredients.

Good news :nuyen:

Is there some other stuff I should look for now to have an easier time in the DLCs?
Loot everything as usual, you shouldn't have to buy anything specific. It largely depends on how much of the Grandmaster Witcher gear you want to craft. That stuff is expensive and needs lots of enhanced dimeritum ore/ingots/plate, so you may want to avoid selling stuff that can be used to make that or it gets even more expensive.
Yeah, Witcher gear is expensive. I am about 1400 crowns shy of crafting my last chest piece, then I'll have everything superior from all 4 schools. I don't sell ore/ingots/plate, had enough to craft so far.

Looking forward to mastercrafted stuff. It doesn't bring the story forward but I really like prowling the continent searching for the diagrams.
The one thing you may want to look for (in the Blood and Wine DLC) is Winter Cherry. These will grow/regrow in your garden when you acquire and upgrade Corvo Bianco (your home). Winter Cherry is particularly useful for helping to develop mutations, which are special abilities you can acquire in the last expansion. Also, hold on to any extra red/blue/green mutagens you accumulate, as they will be essential for the same reason. (I sold my extra ones at some shopkeep somewhere for extra gold, not knowing I'd need them later on.)
Personally I found by the time I got to Blood and Wine I had more mutagens than I could possibly use so Winter Cherry was just something different growing in the garden along with the other new herbs. If you are short of mutagens just harvest the herbs in your garden when they regrow. That's the only place you'll find them so not something you have to watch for from merchants.
