Ugly Baby / To Bait a Forktail... Bug

Hey All,

This seems to be a huge noggin-scratcher as far as my searching for the matter has gone.

Both of the quests mentioned in the title lead me to help Eskel take down a Forktail... problem is, tracking either quest does nothing as far as telling me where I should go. My questlog tells me to find Eskel, I track it, and nothing appears via tracking the quest.

I've searched online and have found nothing. I'd rather not (or better, will not, for now) start the game over to fix this. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Witcher senses or look for trails in the ground like crazy. Tried this?

I believe I did, everything up to helping Eskel is checked off; I must have left the area / game after that, making me think I must have hit a bug.

The quest says to return to Kaer Morhen... yet when I stand at the quest marker, nothing is there.

Rare, but it could be. Before returning Eskel will challenge Geralt to a horse race back to kaer morhen. Maybe is related.

If you don't find a solution you are better loading an older save.

Alright. I was able to revert my save file back when I saved Dandelion; quiet a trek henceforth from where I was but at least I don't have to start over. This was my last line (other than starting over obviously). Thanks. I'll go with this.

Does anyone have the console command to fix this?

I think something like this will fix the same bug with the junior questline:
